Parking versus a transfer requires a whole-trip calculation. The parking fee alone leaves out the drive, energy and the return trip after landing. The baseline below comes from Munich Airport's standard tariff list dated 1 April 2026.
Standard rates as a baseline
For seven days, Munich Airport lists €107 for Economy parking and €250 for Terminal parking. For 14 days, the figures are €160 and €337. These are standard rates, not guaranteed online quotes. Advance-booking offers and availability can change the actual total; use the airport booking site for your dates.
Calculate full parking cost
Add the round-trip drive in your own car, fuel or electricity and any other relevant costs. Economy areas may mean a longer terminal walk than nearby garages. Consider whether you want to drive home after an overnight flight.
Calculate transfer cost
A taxi or private transfer generally means two separate journeys: outbound and inbound. Compare actual quotes for both directions, including vehicle size, child seats, waiting rules and possible extras. An advertised starting price is not a quote for your addresses and dates.
Choose by price and convenience
For a short trip with several passengers, driving may be attractive. A longer stay raises the parking bill and can make a transfer more competitive. Travellers without a car or those wanting to avoid driving after a long return flight may value door-to-door service. Consider comfort separately from the price comparison.
